Yes, that happens so often... People just write mindless things on the internet and then others read them and think it's true. I also read those stories in this forum, which can be found on ANY of Divya's fan sites. Like Sajid pushed her and she was a drug addict and bla bla.. If I was the admin in this forum and her other fan pages, I would first of all remove all that crap... Those people don't even realize that if Sajid wanted, he could sue you altogether. Sajid was not even close to Divya's apartment when she fell, that's a fact which is proven.

I think Divya's partners first all were big stars of South industry and second weren't so unattractive for the Indians. I suppose that in their states they are, if not exactly a model for perfect men, at least they are attractive for the local people. I don't expect to see in an Indian movie an European beauties. lol! About Venkatesh, yes, he is not so handsome lol!, but Prasanth, Balakrisna and Mohan Babu at these ages were better than many hindi actors, I think.

Yes, that's true. Balakrishna (Dharma kshetram) , Chiranjeevi (Rowdy Alludu) and Mohan Babu (Chitemma Mogudu, Assembly Rowdy) were very big stars over there. I don't really see why...lol they look so bad, and I've already seen better actors.

That day when Divya died, she was with her parents and brother Kunal all day. They had dinner together and spend some time out, until Kunal brought Divya home because she was supposed to discuss dresses with her dress designer Neeta Lulla. I don't know what her Mr. Lulla did there, I guess he just accompanied his wife, as he was also fond of Divya. Besides them, there was also Divya's maid, who was busy in the kitchen. Divya was talking about dresses with Neeta, and drank some alcohol. After 30 mins, she went outside on her balcony and sat on the parapet. I've read, she was looking for Sajid, as he was going to come home soon from his meeting with some film-people. Meeta Bharti, Divya's mother, was at that time playing cards with friends. Om Prakash, her father, and Kunal, her brother, were busy elsewhere.
Divya was sitting on the parapet at that time and somehow slipped - till this moment everything is proven - but there start all the theories, maybe someone pushed, or Divya jumped herself, or she really just slipped and fell - no one can really tell that, but I mean..
there are a lot of things which speak against someone pushing: - Apart from Divya, there were 3 people with her in the apartment. After she died, no one else was seen stepping out. No one else was seen stepping in. Neeta Lulla & her husband were employed by Divya, if they killed her, they wouldn't be paid + there's no reason for them to kill her. Everyone said they were very fond of Divya. Divya's maid was in the kitchen and she died shortly after Divya's demise, as she couldn't bear the pain, it's said. So she's very unlikely to have killed Divya either, hence no pushing.
The next theory says Divya jumped herself (suicide). - That can be confronted with the fact that Divya stated many times in her interviews that life and death is destiny. Quote: "Suicide is the most useless thing to do, in my opinion." - Divya, (in Cineblitz Dec '90) She also stated that she is a very bubbly girl, full of life (in Stardust), which was also stated by her colleagues as well as her family. She was a person who couldn't even sit still in a corner, she was always having fun and laughing.
One of her film producers said in an interview: "Suicide? Na, wo hamesha hasti rehti thi, mazak karti rethi thi, aisi ladki suicide k bare mein socch bhi nahi sakti" - which means "Suicide? No, she was always laughing, always making fun. Such a girl can't even think of suicide."
Shahrukh Khan said in a more or less recent interview: "Divya was this wacky, fun-loving girl."
She was just not the type to commit suicide. The next day she was going to shoot "Andolan" (with Sanjay Dutt, Govinda), even that day itself she told her parents about her next plans, what she wants to do very soon. Someone who is planing to kill himself, would never make any plans and tell about them happily. Her aim in life was to be married and have children.. She got married to Sajid and soon, she wanted to make less films or even quit them (sad, but true) to start a family. She had still goals... why would she commit suicide? It's unrealistic.
Next theory is Divya accidentally slipping from the parapet. -That's the theory which seems the most plausible to me. She was not 'drunk', but she did drink a cup of alcohol. It was night... she was sitting and getting some fresh air, and I don't know about the circumstances but anything could change the image drastically. For instance, what if it was raining some time before and the parapet was wet? I don't know about it, but there are just so many things which we don't know. Maybe she was in thoughts and tried to get down but then slipped. Maybe she was still holding the cup and then had only one hand to hold herself... In my opinion, it's the only plausible possibility.
However, after she fell, she was still hanging for a while between the lower balcony and something else which was holding her for a few seconds (that's what Kunal said), then she fell and crashed her head on the floor. She was still alive, Neeta Lulla and the husband rushed down to her, called the ambulance, Divya was taken into the car and held the doctor's sleeves, he told her "Sab teek ho jayega " (Everything will be good), but then before they reached the hospital, Divya died because of her head-injury.. Her parents and Brother were called and when Om Prakash Bharti heard of his daughter's demise, he collapsed. Her brother Kunal kept crying for hours... He said he doesn't believe his elder sister is dead.. Meeta was called and was the last one arriving at the hospital. (I read Om Prakash slapped her because she came so late but that's NOT proven, could be a rumor as well.) Meeta was shocked as well but she was the only one who didn't have mental issues at that moment. Sajid was called as well, he drove to the hospital, thinking Divya just did something stupid as usual and he would have to get angry with her again. When he arrived and saw his wife's corpse, he collapsed as well.. At her funeral, he couldn't even walk properly, it's shown on many videos how other people have to hold his arms so he doesn't fall.
Kunal did the last rites for Divya, until she was burnt. After Divya's death, everyone went crazy. Fans shaved their heads, some killed themselves, her pictures were everywhere, on newspapers, television, there were specials on her, whole days long there were only her film songs in TV. Her posters were sold everywhere on the streets, people bought them like crazy. They showed her house in TV and documentaries.
Special part on Sajid:
Anywhere you look, whatever video you watch of Divya or of Sajid (which has nothing to do with Divya, maybe just a movie Sajid has produced), there is always talked of "Sajid Nadiadwala killed Divya Bharti", which is pure rubbish, because: - Sajid was not even there! How can anyone who is miles away, kill a girl in her 5th floor apartment while others are still present there? That's rubbish. There are things which speak against Sajid, that's true. For instance, he changed his statement at the police station. He was arrested like a few other people (for example Sanjay Dutt who just made Kshatriya (the last film which was released while Divya was still alive) with her. He is known for his criminal acts...), Sajid is said to have mafia connections.. One of his films was suspended because it was said to be paid by mafia people. Sajid strongly declined any Mafia accusations, he even sued some newspaper for that. That's very controversial... People say Divya might have heard something about the Mafia which she shouldn't have, also there was planned a big terror act at that time, and people say she might have known something through Sajid about it and she didn't wana keep silent so they just "removed" her. That sounds very gross and I believe that's just people making everything more dramatic than it actually is. Sajid has always declined the Mafia connections and so have Divya's parents. That's the next step, Divya's parents have still a great relationship with Sajid. Not just with him, also his wife Warda is like a daughter to Divya's parents. If Sajid killed Divya or had anything to do with it, would he be loved by her parents? If he killed her in some mysterious way, would he still have her picture in his wallet, even though he is married again? Would he still keep Divya's half-empty shampoo bottles? He loved her, there's no need to question that. Another controversial fact is that Sajid found himself a new wife right after Divya's death, i.e. 1 year after that. He met his new wife on Divya's first death anniversary, Warda was a journalist who wanted to interview him. But as I always say, we can't see the person's heart.. Maybe he felt lonely without Divya and tried to fill the emptiness her death has created. Maybe he was searching for love which can lessen the pain Divya's demise has caused. We can't know it. I can just say that Sajid proved his love through his silence. He could have talked now about Divya and talked about her death and about her life style, but no - he remained silent for the last 20 years. The purpose of this is to let the old wounds rest and to let Divya rest. He bewared her honour by keeping his mouth closed about her. This is a big strong act from him and as I said before, if he wanted he could sue all the sites where he is called murderer, etc. because it is simply not true. Every person is innocent until proven guilty & Sajid was never proven guilty!

That's simple. You see, Divya's career was going very well. Everyone simply wanted to sign her for his film. Shahrukh said once "Divya was everyone's best choice." Sajid was a film producer even then, he knew that a married girl won't be signed like an unmarried girl. It used to be like this during the older times, that married women didn't get as many roles as unmarried. That had many different reasons, for instance, it was not liked to see a married woman on screen with another man. Divya didn't care about it, she didn't care much about acting or glamour in the first place, so she wanted to tell everyone but Sajid held her back. He said her career would be in danger if she said so. He told her they will wait for some time and then announce it, also because their parents were not very fond of that, because of religion (from Divya's side) and because of Divya's occupation (from Sajid's side). That's why they hid it, it was because of family and career. Sajid's new wife Warda is a journalist. Her career is not in danger because of marriage, also she's a Muslim like Sajid, hence there's no need to hide it. Besides that, Sajid said later on that he wished he didn't tell Divya to hide it. He was very young at that time, just 27 or 28, he was a bit immature. When he married Warda, he was more experienced and mature to tell it openly that he is married.

It's maybe sad to say, first of all for Sonali...lol but Divya's view was that a woman's first task in life is to care for her husband. She said her aim in life is to have children and take care of Sajid, cook for him, etc. She wanted to quit films after some time and have her own family.

I'm like between yours and Divya's view..lol I think the women who want to have a big career should have it and can do whatever they like I like business women, but I myself am not that much on a career trip..lol of course I wana work, but not to build up some career but more like just doing something that makes others happy who see my work. I too think though that my favourite task in life is so care for my jaann and give much much much love to him
